Bulk - Premix - 10mm

10mm premix is concrete sand and 10mm aggregate blended at the quarry in the correct ratio, so all you supply is cement and water. It takes the guesswork and the second stockpile out of small-batch concreting.

What it's used for

• Footings and strip foundations
• Post holes — fence posts, clothes lines, letterboxes, pergola uprights
• Small slabs and pads — air-conditioner bases, bin pads, garden shed floors
• Repairs and infill where ordering a truck of ready-mix isn't worth it

How much to order

A standard mix is 1 part cement to 5 parts premix by volume. One tonne of premix plus roughly five 20kg bags of cement makes about 0.5m³ of finished concrete — enough for a 100mm slab over 5m².

Yard tip: Mix to a stiff, workable consistency rather than a sloppy one. Extra water is the easiest way to lose a third of your concrete's strength.
