Bulk - Quartz Aggregate - 10mm

10mm quartz aggregate is a washed, screened stone with the strength and low absorption you want in a structural mix, and a bright, clean look that also makes it a decorative product in its own right.

What it's used for

• Concrete — the coarse aggregate in slabs, footings and paths, especially where a finer finish is wanted
• Ag lines and drainage — free-draining surround for slotted pipe
• Soakwells and pits
• Decorative toppings — pathways, garden beds and pot toppings

How much to order

Aggregate runs at about 1.5 tonne per cubic metre. A 50mm decorative layer over 10m² needs roughly 0.75 tonne. For ag-line trenches, allow 100mm below and 150mm above the pipe.

Yard tip: Wrap drainage aggregate in geotextile fabric before backfilling. It keeps soil fines out of the voids and is the difference between a drain that works for two years and one that works for twenty.
