Barbed poly fittings are the backbone of every garden irrigation system in Adelaide. They push into low-density poly pipe and hold on the barb — no glue, no threading, no tools beyond a clamp or a clip.

This fitting

• 20mm Female x 13mm Poly Nut & Tail — sold individually
• Joins 13mm poly pipe to a 20mm female threaded outlet — the standard garden tap connection.

What it's used for

• Connecting poly pipe to a tap, valve or solenoid
• Joining poly to threaded risers and sprinkler bodies
• Transitioning between poly and threaded PVC or brass

Installation tip: Three to four wraps of thread tape on the male thread, wound in the direction the fitting tightens. More tape than that splits the female fitting as you do it up.
