Angled retaining stakes are formed for strength rather than ease of driving. They're what holds a taller profile upright when there's soil load behind it.
Allow three stakes per 2.44m length of edging for normal residential work — one central and one about 400mm in from each end. On retaining work or loose ground, step up to four per length (610mm centres).
Installation tip: Drive angled stakes with a rubber mallet, not a steel hammer — it protects the top of the stake and the edging profile beside it.
In stock at 165 Railway Terrace, Keswick SA 5035 — grab it when you collect your materials rather than making a separate trip to a hardware store. Open Monday to Friday 6:30am–4:00pm and Saturday 7:00am–2:00pm. Call (08) 8443 9533 to check stock.
